Who still knows an old shoemaker / cobbler - they can usually adapt this type of boot very nicely to Wehrmacht, with pinned leather sole and cat's eyes (Hobnails) for example.....

The indicated width refers to the instep of the boot, i.e. the size of the opening where the foot dips into the foot part of the boot at the bottom.
The shaft width then goes congruent with the instep eínher.
