From a collection being cleared out - Lance Corporal’s uniform, Großdeutschland Armoured Corps# Black embellished armoured jacket in the WH style, curved front button placket (size XL / 54 German), with all embellishments as shown in the picturesItem condition: second-hand; all components (jacket, trimmings) are collector’s reproductions. The tank jacket is made of heavy, jet-black woollen cloth in the Wehrmacht cut, with a cotton lining. The collar is embellished with piping in the tank corps’ distinctive pink colour. The jacket is fitted with drawstrings on the inside left and right so that it can be worn close to the body. The epaulettes feature metal patches bearing the letters ‘GD’ for the fully motorised ‘Großdeutschland’ Division. On the left side of the chest is a denazified armoured combat badge in ‘silver’. On the right forearm, the ‘Großdeutschland’ sleeve band has been sewn on in a machine-embroidered design, matching the black tank blouse on a black background. In the buttonhole is an original section of ribbon from the Iron Cross 2nd Class. On the left upper arm is a black lance corporal’s chevron and a radio operator’s service badge. A jacket like this could have been worn by a driver in a Tiger main battle tank. The original is now almost impossible to find. To match this, we also offer tank trousers, a shirt, a tie, etc. You will receive exactly the uniform jacket shown in the picture!
