GB British Army Royal Armored Corps MKII steel helmet 50-60s with camouflage / helmet netting
- Order number: GB-33660
- Shipping weight: 2 kg
Original British Army Royal Armored Corps MKII steel helmet from the 1950s or 1960s in good condition.
This helmet pattern was introduced in 1945 and replaced the original pattern worn during the Second World War.
The main feature of this new pattern was the 'Lift the Dot' fastener that secured the liner to the helmet.
The helmet shell remained virtually unchanged, and this pattern was worn by several British Army units, including in Northern Ireland.
The helmet features an excellent amount of paint on the exterior, which appears to be a contemporary repaint at unit level, with some areas in textured finish and some without.
The interior features the original color scheme, which appears to be the light green used by British Motor Bodies during World War II, which may indicate that this is an early production example.
