#A Browning Machine Gun MG Cal. 50 M2 Jeep Mount Tripod – Model – 1:1 metal replica, barrel can be dismantled
Browning Cal. 50 – 1945 – replica.
A solid replica made exclusively from metal parts and wooden grips. Approximately 25 hours’ work +/-
The cocking lever is movable and pulls back the simulated ‘bolt’. However, the bolt does not lock in the rear position. The cocking handle can be unscrewed for transport. The model weighs approx. 31 kg including the barrel. The single-shot and automatic fire selector is movable. The barrel is solid and the muzzle opening is indicated by a bore; the barrel can be removed, just like on the original, and is detachable, making it easy to transport in sections. The barrel was manufactured by a toolmaking firm. The machine guns were intended for a museum housing US Army M113 armoured personnel carriers.
The cover can be opened; the housing is completely empty. The rear sight can be folded up. An ammunition box can be attached to the housing on the left and right. Unfortunately, these new models are only available in very small quantities and only very irregularly, as the manufacturing costs are simply too high, as are the material costs. The .50 calibre fits into all standard US Army mountings.
As this is merely a replica, free from prohibited parts, it may be freely sold and owned. Carrying it in public is, of course, prohibited.
Ideal for all heavy US WW2 wheeled and tracked vehicles, film, TV, re-enactment and armament projects
