TOP new production - US M1951 Field Parka with hood and inner lining olive The M-1951 Field Parka was a further development of the M-1948. When the USA entered the war against North Korea, it quickly became clear that clothing was needed, in order to be prepared for the harsh Korean winters. The U.S. Army developed a parka with a removable inner lining that was cut large enough to be worn over equipment.Due to its exceptional functionality, the parka was very popular and remained in service well into the 1980s with only slight modifications. It also enjoyed great popularity among subcultures, such as the mod scene, due to its good properties against wind and weather, making it a cult item to this day! This M1951 Field Parka has been reissued to the same specifications as it was produced in the early 1950s. Starting with the tightly woven poplin outer fabric, the Talon zipper and the removable quilted nylon lining.  The following details characterize this 1951 Field Parka: - Outer fabric: densely woven poplin made of 100% cotton - Inner lining: quilted lining made of 100% polyester - Authentic cut, with classic "fishtail finish" at the back - 2 large outer pockets - Talon zipper - Drawstring for waist adjustment ATTENTION: Oversize, runs one size larger! TOP new production - US M1951 Field Jacket Olive The M1951 is the archetype of all modern functional jackets. Developed in the early 1950s, its aim was to offer good freedom of movement, plenty of storage space and the ability to accommodate an inner lining. The M1951 was also an attempt to develop a jacket that could be used both in the field and in barracks. All these features were successfully combined in this jacket.Although it was only produced for a few years, it quickly achieved cult status.The 1951 Field Jacket was made from a 9oz Poplin fabric, which offered very good wind and moisture resistance. The zipper on the front was closed with a heavy talon and covered by a button placket. The inner lining could be attached to the jacket with buttons.
